Payment & Shipping Policy

PAYMENT & SHIPPING POLICY: 

The currency, unless otherwise stated, for any transaction is Australian Dollars (AUD). 

The full purchase price for any product, commissions, fees and charges in connection with your account must be paid by the settlement date or at an earlier time as required by Compass Bullion. 

Any order must be paid for within 24 hours (or one business day) of the order being placed. In the event payment is not made within the above you agree that Compass Bullion may amend the price of the product to reflect market pricing or cancel the order. 

Any costs incurred by Compass Bullion relating to the recovery of any final amounts owing and any other third-party charges or fees levied on us in connection with the recovery will be reimbursed in full by you. 

You must compensate and indemnify us in respect of any or all losses. Claims and expenses incurred by us as a result of your default, including any losses incurred by exiting any hedging positions taken by us as a result of your contract. 

Freight and Insurance is optional and this service is provided by Compass Bullion through recommended third-party contractors. We reserve the right to choose the most appropriate method of delivery, if a method of delivery is not specified by you at the time of the order. 

All Compass Bullion orders for delivery have optional insurance cover which will be calculated as a percentage of the total order value and will be clearly stated on the invoice. Please note that the insurance only covers transit from despatch until first arrival at the nominated delivery address. Insurance does not cover incorrect or incomplete delivery address or third parties signing for the delivery, unless specifically authorised. 

Compass Bullion will not be held responsible for those deliveries which are lost or damaged within the post if adequate insurance cover is not selected and paid for at the time of check-out.

CANCELLATION POLICIES: 

We have a 7-day return policy if applicable, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, same condition, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

Please note a 30% restocking fee will apply, and the buyer is responsible to cover all shipping and insurance fees, and we do not credit shipping & transaction fees. 

To start a return, you can contact us here. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Cancellation Policy: 

The only time you will be able to cancel the order is if it has not yet been shipped.  

Please contact us with your order information click here and we will cancel the transaction. 

Any fees such merchant fees or any associated fees with accepting the original payment, will be your responsibility to pay and will be deducted from the amount you have paid. 

Please note a 5% restocking fee will apply to cancelled orders.

If your order has already been shipped, it will be subject to our regular return policy. 

Important: 
Cancellation of investment products, pre-order and personalised products will be not accepted. 

You have entered into a legally binding agreement once you have placed your order with us, and you cannot cancel your confirmed order. 

Cancellations can have significant impact on Compass Bullion business viability. Hence, we reserve the right to refuse future business dealings as well as seek legal action against any customer that cancel large volume of transactions. 

Refunds: 

If your order will be refundable (please read the “Exceptions/Non-returnable items” above thoroughly and carefully). We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, the refundable amount (minus restocking fee and all other fees indicated above) will be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items 

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on sale items, gift cards, personalised items and coin rolls. We do not accept any return or exchange on all bullion and bullion coins, due to price fluctuations and volatility of the precious metal market.  

Force Majeure 

If Compass Bullion is not able to perform any obligations under this agreement as a result of any event that is out of its control, including, government intervention, military activity, strikes, terrorism, financial crisis derivative meltdown, failure of a suppler or storage partner that may delay delivery Compass Bullion shall not be liable for any damages as a result or in connection with such a delay or such failure.
