Along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, ten stone-sculpted royal beasts stand as dynastic guardians that were built to symbolises the legitimacy of Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. The eighth release in The Royal Tudor Beasts bullion collection features the Queen’s Lion. Designed by David Lawrence, the coin’s dynamic reverse evokes the splendour of the Tudor period and incorporates surface animation for an added layer of security. Struck in 999.9 fine gold to Bullion standard, the coin is also available struck in 1oz gold, as well as in platinum and fine silver.
